I hope you all are healthy and hearty and enjoying your day!!
Every girl and I really mean every girl (I am so sure all mothers & grandmothers will agree!) has followed the ultimate doll diva at some age or the other – Barbie with that beautiful smile and glittery eyes… a true stunner.
Spend the entire morning clearing an old cupboard to make some more space for O’s ever growing toy army…. got extremely delighted as I found an old rather very old vintage Barbie doll (Maybe the one I used to play with when I was a child) and a brand new packed one (Barbie-a nod for a mod), they both are just beautiful with that lovely features and clothes. It was a little trouble some moment as my husband loved the new version but trust me I just went nuts for the vintage one as you all must have heard but I truly believe that “old is gold”.
So, we got into a war (small one.. don’t worry!) actually star wars…star of yesterday (vintage Barbie) vs star of present (new version Barbie) as he wanted me to dress up “O” his way and I wanted to do it my way!
After an amicable settlement for me heheheh!! We dressed “O” by mixing the elements of both the Barbies. Here is our own Barbie…check her out!!So, using our (trust me only mine!) inspirations and imaginations, I bought this Osh kosh B;gosh pure Chambray pink sailor shorts with white enhancement of buttons & ribbons along with a tucked in navy blue graphic t-shirt from Hopscotch (brand:Osh kosh B’gosh) to give that super cool sailor effect.
Thank god! This was easy as a chambray sailor short is the most versatile pick for any wardrobe…team it up with any accessory & just steal the show…I am really excited as I really want Omaira to look like a beautiful Barbie!
To add a little more of that girly charm , I pulled out my favourite printed stockings under her shorts along with blue glittery shoes and white & blue feather hair band. I also donned her a white shrug as it adds that extra layer of colour and fun.
Come on mothers we all want this for our little angels (right?)…check out the links below and I am sure you will find the perfect Barbie look for your girl and do write your likes and dislikes… see you soon!
Did you know?
Barbie is a fashion doll manufactured by the American toy company Mattel, Inc. and launched in March 1959. American businesswoman Ruth Handler is credited with the creation of the doll using a German doll called Bild Lilli as her inspiration.
Quick tip : One of the most stylish ways to wear a shorts is with a crop top..add a little zing with a printed or plain slip crop top along with a scarf pinned on a shoulder. Beautiful!
